Shen's Resturant

My first time here on a recommendation, and my last. I found the take out portions small compared to competitors. The food itself was good but child size portions for an adult. Asked for brown rice. Hostess came out and said she was giving me half brown, half white. WTH? I don't eat white rice or flour. She should have come to me first and said " we are out of brown would you take white or half of each?". She changed my order in effect without telling me. I get you run out of stuff but the ball was dropped. The service error coupled with the small portions sealed your fate we me. 😔 Sorry

All of what we ordered was delicious…I had steamed veggie dumplings with dipping sauce which was really good, a little salty, but I love salty. The wonton soup was good, but very little strands of pork in it and mostly noodles and broth. The filling was nice but not enough. My partner had steamed vegetables with tofu which she loved. Will be returning very soon.

Just had an incredible meal at Shenese Chinese Restaurant. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. The veggie dumplings were perfect, and the spare Ribs and egg rolls are hands-down some of the best I've ever had. What makes it even more special is the owner; she’s incredibly warm and welcoming. Definitely my new go-to spot

From what I read it is family owned and they just redid the dining room in an effort to revamp the old Shen’s Peking Chinese Restaurant to Shenese. The dining room looks great. Beautiful color choices, inviting, plenty of seating… Beyond that it was not an ideal dining experience. First off, prices are EXTREMELY high. Gone are the days of coming to eat Chinese food and getting combination meals at great prices. Expect to pay in the upper $20’s+ for a combo meal (combo includes CHOICE OF soup, roll, or rice instead of a little of each) $19-mid $20’s for al a carte. If the food was the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, then the prices might be worth it. Not the case though :( Mom had Shrimp Chow Fun. I have never had Chinese food that was tasteless before, but this plate was. Very oily too. I had Sesame Tofu. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t mind blowing either. If you look at the plate you can see that the tofu and broccoli are drowning in sauce that was a little too thin and very sweet for my liking. The service was fine but the food just didn’t hit the mark for me so unfortunately ,I don’t think that I will be coming back here for a second meal
